A man previously apprehended for a drug charge was rearrested by intelligence officers of the Bohol Provincial Office (BPPO) after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover agent in Tagbilaran City.
Leonil Blanco, 35, of Barangay Poblacion, Tagbilaran City was arrested through a drug buy-bust operation on Saturday afternoon.
In a report, police said that Blanco sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer during the staged drug transaction set in motion by the BPPO’s Provincial Intelligence Branch.
The operatives then apprehended Blanco who was allegedly caught in possession of four grams of shabu.
The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P47,200.
According to authorities, Blanco who is now detained at the BPPO headquarters in Camp Francisco Dagohoy will be charged with violations against the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Blanco was earlier arrested for a drug charge but was acquitted, police said. (wm)
