A noted burglar was arrested by police after he was allegedly caught red-handed selling shabu to a poseur-buyer during a drug buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City on Monday.
In a report, police said that alleged drug dealer Ruben Pahang, 28, of Barangay Mansasa in Tagbilaran City was apprehended at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Barangay Dampas.
Operatives of the Tagbilaran police intelligence section led by Sr. Insp. Vincent Dumaguing spotted Pahang as he was allegedly selling shabu prompting them to set the operation in motion.
Pahang was caught in possession of 0.20 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P3,000, authorities said.
According to police, Pahang has been suspected of being behind a series of burglaries in Tagbilaran City and nearby towns.
Pahang is now detained at the Tagbilaran Police Station lock-up jail.
He is set to be charged with violations against Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (wm)
