An alleged shabu dealer included in Maribojoc’s drug watch list was arrested by police during a drug buy-bust operation on Thursday.

Police Senior Inspector Jesue Daplin identified the alleged pusher as Dante Barbante, 40, of Barangay Poblacion, Maribojoc.

According to Daplin, Barbante is a newly identified drug personality in the town.

Barabante was spotted selling illegal drugs near a village fair in Barangay Poblacion prompting operatives to set up the buy-bust.

He then allegedly sold suspected shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer leading to his immediate arrest by the municipal police’s intelligence section.

Four more sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 0.20 grams were also allegedly seized from Barbante.

He is now detained at the Maribojoc police lock-up jail and is set to be charged with sale and possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
