A tourist bus driver was arrested for alleged sale of illegal drugs in Panglao on Sunday night.
Anti-narcotics operatives of the Panglao Police Station apprehended Jonatahan Pusta, 43, of Barangay Tinago in Daus, during a drug buy-bust operation.
According to Panglao police chief Sr. Insp. Neon Alvarez, Pusta had just transported tourists and finished his work shift when he sold shabu to an undercover agent during a staged drug transaction at a dimly lit area in Barangay Poblacion.
Pusta allegedly sold shabu worth P1,000 to the poseur-buyer and was caught in possession of more drugs which were estimated to be worth P4,760.
Alvarez said that Pusta remained detained at the Panglao Police Station lock-up facility pending the filing of charges against him on Monday. (ad)
