Cebu-based shipping company Cordova Inter-island Shipping, Inc. has transferred the operations of its CSS Sunriser II from Clarin to Getafe.
According to Cora Borromeo, one of the managers of Cordova Shipping, their 130-seater fastcraft which serviced the Clarin-Cordova route incurred damages due to shallow waters surrounding the Clarin port.
Borromeo said that their vessel now departs from Getafe to Cordova, Cebu at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m.
From Cordova, the fibre-reinforced plastic fastcraft leaves for Getafe at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The Sunriser 2 which has a seating capacity of 130 individuals can also accommodate motorcycles.
Cordova shipping is offering trips to Cordova for passengers who want to avoid traffic in Cebu City while travelling to areas surrounding the town including the Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
There are currently three shipping firms operating in Getafe—Ocean Jet, Atlantis Yohan and Cordova Shipping. (A. Doydora)
