A man previously charged with child abuse against his children was choked to death by his wife following a heated argument between the two in Clarin town at past 7 p.m. on Friday, police said.

The suspect, 40-year-old Elena Arong, who immediately surrendered to barangay authorities following the incident, is facing a parricide charge.

According to Corporal Romel Garcia of the Clarin Police Station, victim Victoriano Arong, 47, was drunk during the incident.
