Police said that both suspects were wearing helmets which covered their faces.

The Bohol police Provincial Intelligence Branch which assisted in the investigations eyed drug involvement of Curbanera’s live-in partner as possible motive behind the brazen gun attack.

Authorities did not identify the victim’s alleged Filipino live-in partner.

However, this was denied by Curbanera. She told dyRD Balita that her live-in partner is a foreign national.

Curbanera said that the attack may have been due to a love triangle.

She alleged that the relationship drew the ire of her foreign boyfriend’s former lover.
