Two names were added to the roster of municipal lawmakers who have expressed intent to vie for the coveted presidency of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) – Bohol chapter.

Loay Councilor Jescelo Adiong and Baclayon Councilor lawyer Theodore Cabahug have surfaced as possible contenders in the PCL race, joining Sikatuna Councilor Constancio Rule, Panglao Councilor Dennis Hora and Tagbilaran City Councilor Jonas Cacho who have earlier made their interest in the post known.

Dauis Councilor Vieto Racho who was earlier reported to have also been gunning for the seat backed out due to his family’s request.

Adiong, who is a brother-in-law of Vice Gov-elect Rene Relampagos, belongs to the Padayon Bol-anon coalition of Governor-elect Art Yap while Cabahug is with the Tinood Bol-anon coalition of defeated gubernatorial bet Leoncio Evasco, Jr.

Cabahug has reportedly completed his line-up for the PCL-Bohol elections.

Rule and Hora also ran under Tinuod Bol-anon while Cacho represented Padayon Bol-anon.

Padayon Bol-anon has yet to decide on whom to endorse for the PCL presidency in Bohol.

The PCL president will represent the 482 councilors of 47 towns and the lone city of Bohol and will sit as ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Palalawigan, bringing the voice of the town and city lawmakers to the halls of the provincial lawmaking body. (with a report from rvo)
