The public was called to be part of the campaign against corruption in governance by no less than the chairman of the Commission on Audit (COA) who blew into town last Friday.
COA Chairman Michael Aguinaldo said that any private citizen can file his complaint on graft-laden local projects.
The recent signing of a memorandum of agreement between COA and the Presidential Anti Corruption Commission will further enhance the role as :watchdog” oif government pass.
The COA chair was here last Friday to administer the oath of lawyer Virgilio “Dodong” Mendez who got elected as mayor of San Miguel town.
Aguinaldo even said the public can also question erring COA personnel if they find some questionable dealings with the LGU . However,he admitted scarce of available auditors to substitute in case there are COA audtitors who would need replacement due to public complaints.
