PDEA ‘priority target’ falls in Tagbilaran drug bust

A suspected drug dealer listed as a priority target of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was arrested in Tagbilaran City on Friday afternoon.

Terrence “Tikong” Capino, a 29-year-old resident of Barangay Ubujan, Tagbilaran CIty, was collared by PDEA agents through a buy-bust operation at around 4:15 p.m.

The operation as carried out by the PDEA and police operatives of the 703rd Maritime Police outside the suspect’s home.

In its report, the PDEA noted that they were following the suspect when they saw Capino selling drugs.

This prompted authorities to set the drug sting in motion leading to the arrest of the suspect who allegedly sold shabu worth P5,500to an undercover PDEA agent.

According to PDEA agent Chona Egam, four more grams of shabu were found in the suspect’s possession upon his arrest.

The confiscated drugs were estimated to be worth P22,000, she said.

Capino is now detained at the Bohol police headquarters in Camp Dagohoy, Tagbilaran City pending the filing of charges against him.

He will be charged for possession and sale of illegal drugs, said Egam. (Weli Maestrado)
