The Bohol Island State University – Main Campus (BISU) was ranked as the fifth best performing school in the recently concluded Electrical Engineering Licensure Examination marking a near-perfect passing rate of 94.52 percent.
A total of 69 of the 73 examinees from BISU, whose main campus is located in Tagbilaran City, passed the exams, according to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday last week.
The University of Batangas and the University of the Philippines meanwhile had the highest ranking as both schools scored a passing rate of 100 percent with all of their 55 and 33 examinees, respectively, passing the exams.
The two universities were followed by the University of Saint Louis – Tugegarao (98.08 percent) at second, Camarines Norte State College – Daet (97.92 percent) and the University of Santo Tomas (97.92 percent) both at third and Polytechnic University – Sto. Tomas (97.67) at fourth.
According to the PRC, 3,285 out of 4,891 Registered Electrical Engineers and 2,634 out of 4,424 Registered Master Electricians passed the Electrical Engineer Licensure Examinations.
The exams were administered by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga in August and September, 2019.
