A 60-year-old man was found dead in a creek in Barangay Riverside in Inabanga on Monday morning.
The remains of Eusebio Sentinales who died of drowning were discovered by a resident in the area who was tethering cattle at past 10 a.m., said Staff Sgt. Ronel Torrifiel of the Inabanga Police Station.
Torrifiel said that Sentinales was last seen alive at past 8 p.m. on Sunday at a funeral in a nearby village.
He was believed to have been drunk when he drowned in the creek.
“Nag-atend kono sija og death anniversary sa ijang relative, unja pong sa ijang mga gika-inom nga perti kono na nijang huboga, unja mi-uli kono nag mga alas 8 sa gabie unja ga sige kono suka-suka. Mao to uwahi nila nakita nga ni-uli pero wan a kauli,” said Torrifiel.
Meanwhile, findings from police investigators indicated that there was no foul play behind Sentinales’ death. (A. Doydora)
