A 34-year-old man deemed a high-value target in the police’s anti-drug campaign was arrested along with his 18-year-old girlfriend during a sting operation in Baclayon town on Thursday night.
The operation’s target, Allan Glovasa of Barangay Bitugan, Antequera was caught in possession of shabu worth P136,000.
According to Captain Gereon Item of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), they placed Glovasa under surveillance for over a week before they set in motion the staged drug transaction.
Glovasa allegedly transacted with police through text message setting a meeting wherein he allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur buyer.
He was arrested along with one April Rose Bauri right after they checked out of a lodge in Barangay Laya, Baclayon.
Operatives then allegedly found 20 grams of shabu in their possession.
Following their apprehension, Glovasa admitted that the drugs seized from Edgar Medrina, an overseas Filipino worker who was arrested in Calape earlier this week, were sourced from him.
Glovasa is set to be charged with sale and possession of illegal drugs while Bauri will only face a possession charge. (WM)
