A 36-year-old woman suspected of being a drug pusher was arrested in Danao town during a police anti-drug operation on Monday.
Police collared Mary Fe Yamomo, 36, near her residence in Barangay Cabatuan in Danao in an afternoon drug buy-bust operation supervised by the town’s police chief Lieutenant Yolando Bagotchay.
In a report, police said that the operation was set in motion after Yamomo was spotted by intelligence officers as she sold drugs in the area.
Yamomo was immediately apprehended after she allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to poseur-buyer.
She was also caught in possession of two sachets of suspected shabu, authorities said.
Yamomomo admitted that the seized drugs were hers but denied that she was selling her stash, saying that it was for her personal consumption.
She was detained at the Danao Police Station while authorities prepared to file charges against her for sale and possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
