A married couple while on board their van was robbed by motorcycle-riding men who rode in tandem in Tagbilaran City on Monday night.

The suspects, one of them armed, blocked the path of Jerry and Rosalie Barimbao, fish vendors at the Tagbilaran City Central Public Market, forcing the couple to stop along Pacifico Castillo Street in Barangay Dao at around 7:30 p.m.

In a report, police said that the motorcycle passenger held Jerry at gunpoint while the driver also alighted from their vehicle and pointed a knife at Rosalie.

One of the suspects grabbed Rosalie’s sling bag which contained P1,000 cash and a native bag which had in it the couple’s earnings for the day.
