2 armed robbers hit Tagbilaran convenience store

Two still unidentified men, one of them armed, robbed a convenience store in Tagbilaran City carting away gadgets and cartons of cigarettes.

In a report, police said that the suspects pretended to be customers before suddenly declaring a robbery inside the 24/7 Super Convenience Store located along CPG North Avenue in Tagbilaran City on Tuesday night.

One of the robbers held the cashier, Nina Patac, 38, at gunpoint using a .45 caliber pistol as he demanded for the store’s cash.

The two men also stole a Cherry Mobile keypad, a VIVO Y9 smartphone and a ream of Winston brand cigarettes.

Authorities, based on the statement of Patac, said that the suspects left the store after stealing the items and immediately fled on board a motorcycle.

The Tagbilaran City Police Station’s theft and robbery section and intelligence section have been tasked to conduct follow-up investigations on the case. (wm)
