A woman wielding a hammer fatally beat her live-in partner inside their home in Ubay in the wee hours of Saturday, police said.
A 30-year-old resident of Barangay Fatima, Ubay, Vannessa Cadoldolan was arrested by police inside their home at past 12 midnight, just a few minutes after the incident, and was expected to face a murder charge.
According to Senior Staff Sgt. Renato Cutamora of the Ubay Police Station, Cadoldolan and victim Lucilo Boyles, 35, figured in a heated argument which led to the fatal attack.
Boyles had just arrived home and was under the influence of alcohol when the verbal tussle erupted.
Boyles was rushed to the Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay but was declared dead on arrival.
Based on the police’s probe, Boyles and Cadoldolan often got into heated arguments as noticed by neighbors of the couple.
A fight between the two usually broke out when the victim arrived home under the influence of alcohol.
(A. Doydora)
