An 18-year-old senior high school student of a private school in Tagbilaran City was arrested by police in Dauis town on Thursday night.
In a report, police said that Edwin Entea, a native of Anislag, Corella and a senior high school student of the Holy Name University, was collared by police operatives in Barangay Tinago, Dauis following a drug transaction made through text messaging.
Entea allegedly delivered P500 worth of shabu to the poseur-buyer in the said village resulting in his immediate arrest.
According to Captain Andie Corpuz, chief of the Dauis Police Station, they started to monitor the teenager after they received a complaint from a parent whose child was caught using illegal drugs.
The complaint led police to Entea who was pinpointed as the drug dealer of the complainant’s child.
Entea who was also allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P8,600 during his arrest is now under the custody of the Dauis Police Station.
He is detained at the municipal police’s lock-up jail and is set to be charged with violations against Section 5 (sale) and Section 11 (possession) of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (W. Maestrado)
