A college student was rearrested by police in an anti-drug operation in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday night, just five days after he was released from jail after being held for a drug possession charge.

Captain Gereon Item of the Bohol police Provincial Intelligence Branch said that they seized shabu worth P263,849 from Harris Verson Lumayno during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Cogon.

Lumayno, a Bachelor of Science in Education student at the University of Bohol, allegedly sold shabu worth P1,000 to a poseur-buyer resulting in his immediate arrest.

According to Item, they immediately placed Lumayno under surveillance after his release from jail leading to the operation.

He was released from the Panglao Police Station jail on Friday last week after posting bail of P35,000 for his temporary liberty.

He was charged with possession of illegal dtugs following his arrest at a resort in Panglao last month. (W. Maestrado)
