The event also witnessed the Blessing and Inauguration of NIA-7 Training Center. Mayor Yap during his welcome message acknowledged the essential role of irrigation towards sustainable agricultural development. He noted the valuable contribution of NIA in creating conducive farming conditions to increase rice production. He further challenged the organization to continually strive for excellence and take advantage of the scientific, engineering and technological advances to make irrigation more responsive to the country’s agricultural needs, bearing in mind that the task at hand is crucial in attaining food sufficiency. The occasion, led by Gov. Chatto, also included the Mass Ceremonial Turn-over of the 28 completed projects in the Province of Bohol and the awarding of farm machineries.
