Police apprehended a notorious drug dealer in a buy-bust operation conducted at Barangay Bangwalog in Duero 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016.
The operatives collared the suspect Andrique Jamora, a resident of the said barangay, after he sold suspected shabu worth P200 to an undercover cop.
Duero authorities led by Senior Insp. Joseph Berondo, the town’s police chief, recovered four packets of suspected shabu when they frisked Jamora.
According to Berondo, the operation was set in motion after Jamora ignored authorities’ call for him to end his illegal drug activities as he was subjected to Oplan Tokhang.
Agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency assisted the municipal police in conducting the buy-bust operation, Berondo said.
Jamora is currently detained at the Duero police jail awaiting charges to be filed against him. (Rey Tutas)
