The number seven drug personality in Ubay was gunned down by police operatives while the suspect’s wife who is number one in the municipal authorities’ drug watch list was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday afternoon.
Units of the Police Regional Office 7 and Ubay police conducted the joint operation near the suspects’ home in Sitio Gabasa, Brgy. Tipolo, Ubay.
The Ubay police identified the fatality as Rogelio “Ondo†Damulo who attempted to fire his .38 caliber revolver at approaching police operatives after sensing that his wife, Alma, sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.
According to a police report, Ondo Damulo’s firearm jammed before the policemen fired back and shot him dead.
Meanwhile, the authorities arrested Alma Damulo, Ubay’s top drug personality during the same operation.
The suspects’ seven children were left in the care of their aunt as Alma Damulo was transported to the Ubay police station.

The Ubay police noted that Alma Damulo along with her husband previously surrendered to town authorities through Oplan Tokhang.
Police said that they were able to recover a pack of suspected shabu from Ondo Damulo’s shorts pocket.
At the operation area, the authorities seized 11 sachets of suspected shabu and Ondo Damulo’s weapon.
