Tubigonâ€™s top drug personality who was previously detained forÂ drug peddlingÂ in 2011 was rearrested in buy-bust operation on Saturday afternoon.
Suspect Dexter Maligmat, 35, was collared after he was caught red-handed selling suspected shabu worth P500 to an undercover police operative.
A Tubigon police report noted that Maligmat, a resident of Brgy.Â Pooc Occidental, Tubigon, tried to escape but he was immediately apprehended by responding police officers.
The operative recovered two other packs of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia as he was frisked.
According to Chief Insp. Almirante Bacayo, Tubigon police chief, Maligmat had previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang.
However, police reportedly found out through monitoring operations that Maligmat continued to peddle illegal drugs.
The suspect is currently detained at the lock-up jail of the Tubigon police station awaiting charges to be failed against him. (Willy Maestrado)
