The Baclayon police raided the home of two brothers suspected of dealing illegal drugs and being in possession of paltik or homemade firearm early Wednesday morning.
The alleged drug dealers were identified as Cyrell Ostia and half-brother Wendell Jungao, residents of Barangay Guiwanon, Baclayon.
Ostia was reportedly able to leave before the operatives raided their home but the younger Jungao, 34, was cornered inside the residence.
Armed with a search warrant issued by a Loay judge, the Baclayon police searched the suspects’ home for the said weapon and illegal narcotics.
However, they were only able to recover four packs of suspected shabu and drug using and sorting paraphernalia.
According to Senior Insp. Jesus Daplin, chief of the Baclayon police, Jungao was recently subjected to Oplan Tokhang but did not surrender to town authorities.
Through monitoring operations, the police allegedly found out that Jungao and Ostia continued to sell illegal drugs in Baclayon. (Willy Maestrado)Â
