A man who allegedly receives illegal drugs from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City and distributes the contraband to pushers in Tagbilaran CIty was arrested late Wednesday night.

Tagbilaran City anti-narcotics police collared the suspect, 44-year-old Antonio Siesmondo, a Lila resident, through a buy-bust operation in a rented apartment in Gasanai Subd., Brgy. Cogon in the city.

Seismondo was allegedly caught red-handed selling shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer which resulted in his immediate arrest.

Following the arrest, the suspect admitted that he is a coordinator of drug pushers in Tagbilaran City who distribute shabu supply from the NBP.

Seismondo said that he was getting illegal drugs through his cousin who is an inmate at the national penitentiary.

The suspect noted that on Tuesday, he transferred drug money worth P50,000 from the sale of NBP shabu.

However, Seismondo did not divulge the identity of his boss at the NBP.

Meanwhile, the police team led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay also arrested Seismondo’s companion who was allegedly caught using shabu during the operation.

Police identified the suspect as Wilmar Viter, 26, of Brgy. Rizal, Bilar who yielded drug paraphernalia and suspected shabu contained in one medium packet and one small packet. (Allen Doydora)
