The relentless war on drugs in Bohol continues as Tagbilaran City anti-narcotics policemen launched a raid early Sunday which resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug pusher in Barangay Manga in the city.
Members of the City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG) collared the operation’s target, 33-year-old Erwin Ang, a resident of the said village.
Police said that the raiding team led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay seized from Ang shabu worth P35,000 contained in five assorted-sized containers.
The raid was covered by media as operatives showed how raids are conducted amid allegations of evidence planting during anti-drug operations.
Inventory of the confiscated contraband was witnessed by media and Manga barangay officials.
Ang is now detained at the lock-up jail of the Tagbilaran City police station while authorities prepare to file drug charges against him. (Allen Doydora)
