Two notorious city ‘pushers’ arrested

Two alleged drug pushers were arrested by policemen of the City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG) in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Taloto, this city at 9:30 p.m. on Monday.

Police said that one of the suspects, Roy Nueva, 35, a driver from Brgy. Angilan, Antequera was able to escape arrest while the anti-narcotics police nabbed Wilmar Cornel, 21, a resident Brgy. Taloto, this city.

The operatives then convinced Cornel to pinpoint Nuevas’ whereabouts as he directed police to the escapee’s house in Brgy. Booy, Tagbilaran CIty.

Nuevas was spotted at said house and was immediately arrested by CAIDSOTG operatives led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay.

Police said that although both suspects are notorious drug pushers in the city they did not surrender under Oplan Tokhang.

The two suspects are currently detained at the lock-up jail of the Tagbilaran City police pending the filing of charges against them. (Rey Tutas)
