Board Member Jade Bautista expressed optimism that the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will be able to deliver on the Sannguniang Panlalawigan’s (SP) request for a mobile clinic before yearend.

Bautista, who chairs the SP’s committee on health and public sanitation, told DYRD Balita on Wednesday that the mobile clinic would likely be delivered next month.

She said that the SP had submitted required documents to the PCSO after making the formal request for the vehicle last month.

The request was relayed to the PCSO through a resolution authored by Bautista and passed on October 7, 2016.

Bautista noted that she personally submitted the resolution to PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan, a retired marine general, who assured the lawmaker that the mobile clinic will be delivered.

The requested mobile clinic is said to be replete with medical and dental equipment including an x-ray and diagnostic machines, among others.

Barangay officials have previously noted the need for the mobile clinic particularly in far-flung areas which have inadequate healthcare facilities and limited access to hospitals in Tagbilaran City. (Rey Tutas)
