A man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly touching the private of an employee of a McDonald’s in Tagbilaran City while she was sleeping at a boarding house along CPG North Ave, Barangay Cogon.
Police identified the suspect as Rommel Ayco, a native of Sierra Bullones who works at a mall in the city.
According to the 18-year-old victim, she woke up with Ayco, her housemate at a boarding house, on top of her as he was touching her private area.
She said that the suspect covered her mouth to stop her from screaming but she was eventually able to loosen his grip and run.
The victim then asked for help from other residents in the boarding house.
Ayco was taken to the Tagbilaran City Police Station where he admitted to having done the accusations hurled against him.
After the investigation conducted by the city police Women and Children’s Desk, Ayco apologized to the victim.
He said that he was drunk during the incident and was unable to restrain himself as he apologized to the victim.
Ayco was later released from police custody as the victim decided not file charges against him out of pity. (Weli Maestrado)
