Provincial government officials on Tuesday launched the TARSIER 117 mobile app in a bid to provide more efficient and easier access to emergency response units.
The launch of the application was led by Governor Edgar Chatto and Provincial Administrator Ae Damlerio at the Governor’s Mansion.
According to Damalerio, the mobile app can be downloaded through the App Store and Play Store for android phones.
The app provides contact numbers of the Philippine National Police, Bureau or Fire Protection and other emergency response units in various areas in the province.
Damalerio said that TARSIER 117 decided to create its own mobile app after some of its members studied and observed the operations of the emergency response office in New York City.
Capitol department heads, Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Albert Uy and members of media also attended the launching of the mobile app. (Rey Tutas)
