The drug list of government officials with alleged links to illegal drugs will first be released to Police Regional Office-7 director Chief Supt. Noli Taliño before it will be relayed to Gov. Edgar Chatto, as indicated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

According to Chatto, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s narco-list will be made available to Philippine National Police (PNP) regional directors first before it is distributed to governors.

Chatto confirmed that the list which Duterte brandished during a meeting with governors last week is still not with him but noted that it has been passed on to DILG Sec. Ismael Sueno.

The governor said that he has no knowledge on when he will be furnished a copy of the list of drug-linked officials.

However, he assured Boholanos that he will immediately make an announcement upon receiving the list.

Chatto admitted that he himself is eagerly awaiting the release of the list which will identify officials in the province who are involved in illegal drug activities.

The identification of these officials will allow the government to come up with measures to monitor and investigate the alleged drug-linked individuals, he added. (Allen Doydora)
