Burglars take P120K cash, gadgets from Tagbilaran boarding house

Around P120,000 worth of cash and gadgets were stolen in the wee hours of Sunday by unidentified burglars from a boarding house which was accidentally left unlocked.

Police identified the victim as Kean Ray dela Torre, a 38 year-old native of Trinidad living in the burgled boarding house along J.A. Clarin, Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City.

According to the victim, he fell asleep at around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday and woke up at 2 a.m. on the next day to find out that some of his personal belongings and cash were stolen.

Dela Torre reportedly lost a gold Samsung Note 4, an Iphone 5S, Asus Zenfone, Go Tablet, three pocket WiFis and 2 loaders which each contained P1,000 load.

The victim said that he also lost P4,000 and 9,000 Indian rupees or around P6,700.

Policemen of the Tagbilaran City Police Station theft and robbery section have taken over the investigation of the reported burglary case. (Weli Maestrado)
