PNP chief ‘Bato’ to visit Bohol

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa will arrive in Bohol on Friday next week to join the celebration of Antequera’s founding anniversary.

Dela Rosa, whose mother Anesia Cruspero Marapon traces her roots to the Bohol town, will be the guest of honor of the 141st Antequera Day.

The highest ranking police official who reportedly was also once a resident of the town will be delivering a speech during the event which will also be attended by Bishop Alberto Uy and Gov. Edgar Chatto.

Dela Rosa’s mother is from Barangay Poblacion, Antequera.

Antequera’s celebration will last for six days and start on Sunday through the launch of the town’s basket and agricultural display.

During the six-day event, newly completed infrastructure of the town such as its public market, the extension of the Rural Health Unit building and police station will also be blessed by Uy.

Other events include the Antequera Women’s Sports Fest and a bloodletting drive, among other activities. (RT)
