A man deemed a high value target in the Bohol Provincial Police Office’s (BPPO) anti-drug campaign was arrested by intelligence police operatives in Tagbilaran City on Tuesday night.
According to BPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) chief Sr. Insp. Jojit Mananquil, suspect Lloyd Brandon Balagulan operated in Tagbilaran City and towns north of Bohol’s capital.
Balagulan, 28, of Barangay Manga in Tagbilaran City was caught in possession of shabu worth P195,000 during a drug buy bust operation, said Mananquil.
In a report, police said that operatives of the BPPO PIB-Special Operations Group led by Mananquil collared Balagulan after he allegedly sold illegal drugs to an undercover cop.
The drug buy bust operation was set up against the suspect after he was allegedly spotted selling illegal drugs near the Victoria Memorial Park in Barangay Taloto.
Police recovered from Balagulan’s possession several sachets containing suspected shabu while his motorcycle was also seized by the arresting authorities.
Balagulan is now under the custody of the BPPO and is detained at Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City.
He will be charged for violations against Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
