A man who previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang was arrested by police in Tagbilaran City during an anti-illegal drug operation on Monday afternoon.
Police identified the alleged drug dealer as Peter Francis Abapo, 37, of Barangay Poblacion 3 in Tagbilaran City.
According to Tagbilaran police chief Supt. Patricio Degay, Jr., Abapo was earlier dismissed from his work due to alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
The Tagbilaran police’s intelligence section Monday spotted Abapo as he was selling illegal drugs.
Police then set up a buy-bust operation against Abapo who was arrested by operatives after allegedly selling shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer in Barangay Dampas.
Authorities said that they found six more packets of suspected shabu in Abapo’s possession upon his arrest.
The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P5,000.
Abapo was detained at the Tagbilaran City police lock-up jail as authorities prepared to file illegal drug charges against him. (wm)
