Ex-Tagbilaran mayor Lim replaces son, runs for Congress

Dan Ismael “Miles” Lim was replaced by his father, Dan Neri, as candidate for congressman of the first district.

Former Tagbilaran City mayor Dan Neri Lim replaced his son as candidate for representative of the first district on Thursday, the last day for poll bets to pull out of the race and file for substitution.

Lim filed the substitution at 9:10 a.m. at the Provincial Commission on Elections (Comelec) Office replacing his eldest son Dan Ismael.

Lim will be going up against Governor Edgar Chatto.

From 2004 to 2013, Lim was the mayor of Tagbilaran City.

He ran for the congressional seat in the first district in 2013 but lost to Rep. Rene Relampagos.

Relampagos tallied 125,442 votes while Lim garnered 46,014 votes.

According to the Comelec, substitutions can be made until 5 p.m. on Thursday. (RT)
