Police on Tuesday afternoon seized shabu worth P238,000 from a suspected drug dealer deemed to be a high value target (HVT) in the Tagbilaran City police’s anti-drug campaign.
Marvin John Augis, 27, of Barangay Bil-isan in Panglao was arrested through a buy-bust operation along New Calceta in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City at 4 p.m.
The operation was set in motion after Augis was allegedly spotted by police as he was selling shabu in the area.
Police said that Augis sold shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer resulting in his immediate arrest.
According to Sr. Insp. Vincent Dumaguing, Augis was newly included in the Tagbilaran City police’s drug watchlist.
Augis was elevated as an HVT after he was allegedly caught in possession of 35 grams of shabu.
He is now detained at the Tagbilaran City police lock-up jail pending the filing of charges against him for violations against Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (wm)
