P1 million shabu seized from 2 ‘high-value targets’ in Tagbilaran

Cloyd Amores (left) and Jeffrey Belano (right) were arrested through a buy-bust operation at the Mangoes Haven Inn in Barangay Tiptip, Tagbilaran City at 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Police operatives on Sunday night seized shabu worth P1 million from two men tagged as high value drug targets in Tagbilaran City.

Both alleged drug dealers, identified as Cloyd Amores and Jeffrey Belano, were arrested through a drug buy-bust operation at the Mangoes Haven Inn in Barangay Tiptip at 10 p.m.

The operation was set up against Amores but Belano was in the vicinity during the arrest.

According to Sr. Insp. Vincent Paul Dumaguing of the Tagbilaran City police, Amores was pinpointed as drug supplier by an arrested alleged pusher.

In a report, police said that a poseur-buyer bought shabu worth P1000 from Amores.

However, it was Belano who handed over the shabu to the undercover operatives.

Police immediately arrested both men and seized their 120-gram drug stash which was contained in seven packets.

Amores and Belano are now under the custody of the Tagbilaran City police.

Both will be charged with sale and possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
