Another international cruise ship on Friday morning arrived in waters off the Tagbilaran City port bringing 321 tourists from across Asia.

Japanese vessel MS Pacific Venus is the second luxury liner to drop anchor in Bohol for 2019 after MS Europa 2 visited the province last week.

According to Bohol Tourism Officer Josephine Cabarus, MS Pacific Venus arrived at the Tagbilaran Bay at 6 a.m. with 519 people on board including mostly Japanese tourists and a 198-strong Japanese and Filipino crew.

Passengers of the vessel may opt to stay on the ship or take a tour of the province.

Cabarus said that the passengers were given four different travel itineraries.

Two groups toured the Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella but after, one went to the centuries-old Baclayon Church while the other took a river cruise in Loboc.

Another group took a longer countryside tour of the province while another stayed in Tagbilaran City for a quick glimpse at the province, Cabarus added.

Prior to its arrival in Bohol, MS Pacific Venus went to Taiwan then Cebu.

The cruise ship is scheduled to depart for Iloilo later on Friday before heading towards Brunei. (A. Doydora)
