A man listed as a “street-level” drug target was arrested by regional police officers during a drug buy-bust operation in Baclayon town on Monday night.
Operatives of the Regional Special Operation Group (RSOG) 7 allegedly seized shabu worth P340,000 from the arrested suspect identified as Calvin Lao, 27, of Barangay Montana in Baclayon.
Police said that Lao was caught red-handed selling shabu worth P2,000 to a police poseur-buyer.
The authorities immediately apprehended Lao following the transaction and allegedly found in his possession 12 packets of shabu which weighed 50 grams.
The seized drugs were worth P340,000 based on Dangerous Drugs Board estimates.
Lao remained under police custody pending the filing of charges against him for sale and possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
