The office of Vice Governor Rene Relampagos has come up with an agreement with IBEX Global Solutions, a US-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company, to have 100 percent of the firm’s projected 1,000 call center job vacancies be filled by Boholanos.
IBEX is set to start operations this year at the newly opened Alta Citta Mall in Tagbilaran City.
Matthew Nemenzo, Relampagos’ chief of staff, and Provincial Board Member Aldner Damalerio, chair of the PB’s committee on information and communications technology, met with IBEX’s recruitment team led by Neri Kenneth Omambong last week to forge a partnership between the BPO firm and the provincial government.
Part of the collaboration’s goal is for the prioritization of the hiring of Boholanos.
Meanwhile, IBEX will be holding two job fairs in the province at the Loon Activity Center on August 24, 2019 and at the Balilihan Sports and Cultural Center on August 31, 2019, said IBEX sourcing associate Nathaniel Familiar in an interview over radio program “Vice Governor’s Report” on Friday last week.
Other aspiring applicants may directly apply at the Alta Citta Mall main office at the ground floor starting Monday.
Application may take four to five hours, said Familiar.
IBEX will accept college graduates or those with at least two years of college education of any course or senior high school graduates with or without any experience in the call center industry.
High school graduates who are at least 18 years old and with at least six months experience in any call center handling international accounts or at least one year experience handling national accounts will be accepted as well.
IBEX Global Solutions will be the first BPO company to open in the province. It is a US-based company with regional operating offices in countries such as the Philippines, Jamaica, UK, Nicaragua and Pakistan.
