‘High-value target’ falls, yields P109k shabu

An alleged drug dealer tagged as a high-value target by the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) was arrested by police intelligence officers in an anti-drug operation in Tagbilaran City at dawn on Thursday.

Gerry Lou Lumaad, 31, of Barangay Booy, was caught in possession of 16 grams of shabu which were estimated to be worth P108,800 during the operation in Barangay Cogon, police said in a report.

Lumaad was placed under police surveillance when he was allegedly spotted selling illegal drugs in Barangay Cogon while driving his car.

Operatives then set up the sting operation against him.

Police said that Lumaad sold shabu worth P4,000 to a poseur-buyer during the staged drug transaction leading to his immediate arrest.

Lumaad is now under police custody and is set to be charged with sale and possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
