An American national landed in the hospital after he was hacked with a knife by a deaf-mute woman in Getafe.
Victim Ricky Vogt, 63, sustained hack wounds in his face and both hands but was in stable condition when he was rushed to a hospital, said Senior Master Sgt. Joselito Belga.
According to Belga, suspect Christine Lapitan, 22, who prior to the incident frequented Vogt’s house barged into the residence in Barangay Tulang on Sunday morning and hacked him repeatedly with a knife.
“Nag-forced entry ning bayi. Giguba ang main door samtang ang biktima didto sa kwarto,” said Belga.
Police were still investigating as to what drove Lapitan to allegedly attack Vogt but Belga noted that it may have been due to personal conflict.
“Ang among nahibaw-an na diha siya gipangayo sa biktima na wa mahatag…kanang cellphone,” he said.
Belga said that Lapitan was located and arrested a day after the incident in Getafe.
She was charged with frustrated murder on Tuesday. (ad)
