A burglar broke into a Tagbilaran City home which was left unattended and carted away cash and jewelry early on Monday, police said.
The victim, Juleto del Castillo, 47, told authorities that the suspect forcibly entered her home through a rooftop access in the wee hours.
According to del Castillo, she lost P12,000 cash and jewelry estimated to be worth P3,000.
The burglar may have casually went out of the residence in Barangay Taloto through the front portion of the house as del Castillo told police that the front door was left open when she came home at dawn on Monday.
She also found her belongings scattered across the house.
The Tagbilaran City Police Station said that they have tasked their theft and robbery section and intelligence section to conduct follow-up investigations on the case. (wm)
